The form
If you fill in the form on the enquiry page, I process this data:
- your name and email address
- the link to your current website or your page on a booking site
- the type of accommodation
- your message, if you leave one
- technical referral data: which advert or referring site you arrived through
Purpose
To make the example of your new website and to email you about it. I use your data for nothing else. You are not added to a mailing list, and I do not sell or share your data with others for advertising.
On what basis
You fill in the form yourself with a concrete question. That is a request from you to make something, so the processing is necessary to act on that request. The referral data I process on the basis of legitimate interest: I want to know which advert works, so I can understand which advertisements lead to enquiries.
Services I use
The form runs through Formspree, an American service that forwards the submission to my mailbox. In the process your data is handled outside the EU. My email runs through Google. Beyond that, nobody sees your enquiry.
How long I keep the data
I keep enquiries for as long as the conversation runs and after that in my mail archive. If you want me to delete your enquiry, email me and I will.
Statistics and advertising
I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and how they get here. I use Google Ads to measure which advertisements lead to enquiries.
This only happens once you click "Allow cookies" in the cookie notice. If you click "No thanks", or click nothing at all, no statistics cookies are placed. The site simply works.
I keep your choice in the local storage of your browser, so that I do not have to ask every time. That is not a cookie and it does not reach me or anyone else.

What the server records
The site runs at Vercel. Like any web server it records technical data about visits, including your IP address, to make the site work and to prevent abuse. That happens regardless of your cookie choice, because without it a website cannot function.

Your rights
You may always ask me what data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to the processing. An email to koen@koenwensing.com is enough. I usually reply within one working day.
If we cannot resolve it together, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If something changes about the site or about the services I use, I update this statement. The date below shows when that last happened.
